This base does have it's limits regarding weight capacity, but it can vary drastically depending on the size of the base and the size/weight of the top. There are things we can do to reinforce the base, by adding additional support or making the base from a thicker material, which increases the weight capacity. It would be best to Contact Us with the details of the top and the desired size you would want the base and we can let you know if it will work or recommend a modified version of the base.
