Can I just lay a 58" round 3cm granite top on the base, or is something more needed for support?

Please verify the 4 points of contact should be adequate support for a 3 cm stone top, and also clarify the best size for the base. Or maybe one needs plywood or something similar in between

I would recommend getting a recommendation from the stone fabricator on if that will adequately support the stone, but in regards to our base, the base will function just fine with the stone simply resting on it, it does not require attachment to the top to maintain stability. HOWEVER, we do recommend using something to help hold the stone in place, preferably a silicone adhesive, or simply rubber strips to prevent the stone from sliding. It's easier than you think to slide the stone off the base.
