The Criss Cross style metal table base is one that has a somewhat arbitrary dimension to it. The length and width are measured from the top of the base. The bottom of the base will be a few inches smaller than the top, depending on the overall details of the base. The below image shows a reference print for a base sized at 26" W x 60" L from 3" tubing to show how it is measured and sized. The height of the base does not affect the length and width measurements. You can see the base is approximately 3.5" narrower in width at the bottom, and a little over 9" less in length at the bottom.
